Wensleydale Railway Santa Special, 2–10 December
The Wensleydale Railway was used as a passenger route until 1954 and to transport limestone until the early 90s. The track was then mainly unused until the Wensleydale Railway Association began running novelty passenger trips. One of them, a diesel-run Santa Special, takes place throughout December, and provides festive entertainment for children and adults alike. Kids are invited to come along for a one-hour trip with Santa and his elves, who will be moving along the train and distributing gifts.
